Summary of Sunan an-Nasai Hadith 1317
This Hadith gives a visual description of the Prophet's taslim. Sa'd said that he used to see the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) saying taslim to his right and to his left until the whiteness of his cheek could be seen. The report shows a clear turning in the taslim, enough for the side of the face to be visible. The main point is the observed manner of ending prayer. It does not add the exact wording of the salam in this narration, nor does it discuss other prayer details. For readers looking up salam right and left until whiteness of cheek, this Hadith directly records what Sa'd saw from the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم).
What we learn from this hadith
- Sa'd observed the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) saying taslim to both sides.
- The turning was visible enough that the whiteness of his cheek could be seen.
- The Hadith teaches by direct observation of the Prophet's prayer.
