Sa'eed bin Abdur-Rahman bin Abza Narrated from:
It was narrated from Sa'eed bin Abdur-Rahman bin Abza that: His father said: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to recite in witr: Glorify the Name of Your Lord, the Most High;' and "Say: O you disbelievers!'; and 'Say: He is Allah, (the) One." And after he had said the salam, he would say: Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus (Glory be to the Sovereign, the Most Holy) three times, raising his voice with it."

Summary of Sunan an-Nasai Hadith 1751
This Hadith answers the common question, “what surahs are recited in Witr prayer?” The narration says that the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) used to recite “Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High,” “Say: O you disbelievers,” and “Say: He is Allah, One.” After salam, he would say “Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus” three times and raise his voice with it. The text also mentions a difference in the chain involving Abu Nu’aym. Keeping to the Hadith itself, the main message is the Prophet’s Witr recitation and the dhikr after it. It is a clear report for those learning Witr prayer practice.
What we learn from this hadith
- Three surahs are named as Witr recitation in this report.
