Summary of Sunan an-Nasai Hadith 3587
This report from Abu Hurairah says that an award for victory is permissible only over camels or horses. Unlike nearby narrations that also mention arrows, this wording names two racing animals. That difference should be kept clear rather than blended into the sentence. The core topic is camel and horse racing awards. The text gives a direct limit and does not describe the size of an award, the source of the prize, or detailed race conditions. Readers should therefore take the stated lesson without adding unsupported claims. The narration also shows why exact wording matters when comparing related hadiths: one report may list two categories while another lists three. In this specific hadith, the named forms are competition over camels and horses.
What we learn from this hadith
- This wording names camels and horses as the prize-bearing competitions.
- Exact wording matters when comparing closely related narrations.
- The hadith does not state further prize or race conditions.
