أَخْبَرَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ دِينَارٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " نُقَاتِلُ النَّاسَ حَتَّى يَقُولُوا لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ فَإِذَا قَالُوا لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ حَرُمَتْ عَلَيْنَا دِمَاؤُهُمْ وَأَمْوَالُهُمْ إِلاَّ بِحَقِّهَا وَحِسَابُهُمْ عَلَى اللَّهِ " .
Abu Hurairah Narrated from:
The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: "We will fight the people until they say La ilaha illallah. If they say La ilaha illallah then their blood and their wealth become forbidden to us, except for a right that is due, and their reckoning will be with Allah."

Summary of Sunan an-Nasai Hadith 3978
In this version, the Messenger of Allah says, "We will fight the people until they say La ilaha illallah." He then states that when they say it, their blood and wealth become forbidden to the Muslims except for a right that is due, and their reckoning is with Allah. The wording uses "to us," giving the protection a communal form. Even so, the main elements remain the same: the declaration of Allah's oneness, protection of life and property, the exception of a due right, and Allah's final judgment. The hadith does not explain inner sincerity or list legal cases. Its direct teaching is that the outward declaration changes how the person is treated, while the unseen account is left to Allah.
