Abu Ishaq Narrated from:
I heard Abu Al-Ahwas (narrate) that 'Abdullah said: 'Defaming a Muslim is evildoing and fighting him is Kufr.'" So Aban said to him: "O Abu Ishaq! You heard it only from Abu Al-Ahwas?" He said: "Rather, I heard it from Al-Aswad and Hubairah."

Summary of Sunan an-Nasai Hadith 4106
This narration repeats the statement that defaming a Muslim is evildoing and fighting him is kufr. It also preserves a discussion about how the report was heard. Aban asks Abu Ishaq whether he heard it only from Abu Al-Ahwas. Abu Ishaq answers that he also heard it from Al-Aswad and Hubairah. This detail makes hadith verification a clear part of the report. The narrators did not treat the chain of transmission casually; they asked who heard from whom and whether another route supported the wording. Alongside that careful checking, the moral message remains direct: insulting Muslims is sinful, and fighting them is warned against in the strongest terms.
What we learn from this hadith
- Defaming a Muslim is described as sinful conduct.
- Fighting a Muslim receives a severe warning.
- The narration records direct questions about who transmitted the report.
- Abu Ishaq named more than one source from whom he heard it.
