Abu Sa'eed Al-udri Narrated from:
Some dates from trees that were irrigated artificially were brought to the Messenger of Allah and the dates of the messenger of Allah were dates from trees that were nourished by their roots. He said: "Where did you get these from?" They said: "We bought a Sa of them for two Sa s of our dates: He said: "Do not do that, for this is not right. Rather sell your dates and but what you need of these,"

Summary of Sunan an-Nasai Hadith 4554
This narration describes dates brought to the Messenger of Allah. He asked where they came from. The people said they had bought one Sa of those dates for two Sa of their own dates. The Prophet said not to do that and said this was not right. Then he gave a clear alternative: sell your dates and buy what you need of those. The core topic is avoiding unfair date exchange. People searching one Sa for two Sa dates hadith, riba in dates, or Islamic barter rules will see that the hadith does not block buying better dates. It guides the buyer to separate the sale and purchase.
What we learn from this hadith
- The Prophet rejected buying one Sa of those dates for two Sa of other dates.
- He said the transaction was not right.
- He directed them to sell their dates, then buy what they needed.
