Summary of Sunan an-Nasai Hadith 4923

This Hadith is about theft law and the minimum value mentioned in the report. It is often searched as a quarter dinar theft hadith or a hadith about cutting off the hand of a thief. The wording gives the same clear wording from the Prophet about one-quarter of a Dinar or more. The message is direct: the ruling in the narration is tied to a stated amount, not left vague. That amount is one-quarter of a Dinar or more. The Hadith also shows the care with which Aishah reported this matter. For a reader, the safe lesson is to respect the exact wording and avoid adding details that are not in the text. This narration does not list every legal condition, witness process, or authority issue. It simply preserves the threshold mentioned in the report, so the explanation should stay close to that point.

What we learn from this hadith

  • The stated threshold is one-quarter of a Dinar or more.
  • The report connects the ruling to a measured value.
  • Aishah is the narrator in this chain.
  • The explanation should stay close to the Hadith text.
