Summary of Sunan an-Nasai Hadith 5073
This hadith about changing gray hair is narrated by Ibn Umar. The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said, “Change gray hair, but do not imitate the Jews.” The wording is short and gives two connected points: change the gray hair and avoid imitation in the way mentioned. It does not name the material or color in this specific report. So the best explanation is simple: the hadith encourages changing gray hair while keeping a distinct Muslim practice. For searches like change gray hair hadith, do not imitate Jews hadith, or hair dye in Islam, this narration gives a direct phrase. It also fits the wider topic of personal grooming and appearance.
