Summary of Sunan an-Nasai Hadith 5168
This Ali gold ring hadith reports four named prohibitions: a gold ring, Al-Qassi, Al-Mitharah, and Al-Ji'ah. The narration says, “forbade me,” so the explanation should reflect that wording and not change it into a wider sentence unless another text is being discussed separately. The value of this report is in its clear list. It reminds readers that some Hadiths give guidance in a compact form. People searching “gold ring hadith Ali” or “Al-Qassi hadith” are often looking for this type of wording. The right way to present it is to say what the report says, without adding details about items that are not explained here.
What we learn from this hadith
- Ali says the Messenger of Allah forbade him from these items.
- The report names a gold ring first in the list.
- Al-Qassi, Al-Mitharah, and Al-Ji'ah are also mentioned.
- The explanation should keep the wording “forbade me” in view.
