Summary of Sunan an-Nasai Hadith 5176
This narration from Ali says that the Messenger of Allah [SAW] forbade him from rings of gold, garments dyed with safflower, wearing Al-Qassi, and reciting Qur'an while bowing. The order in the report begins with gold rings and then mentions clothing and prayer recitation. For search, this fits “gold ring hadith Ali,” “reciting Quran in ruku hadith,” and “Al-Qassi hadith.” The wording does not give reasons for each item, so the explanation should not guess reasons. It simply teaches that Ali was given clear limits in these areas. The Hadith is short, but it touches daily dress and the way prayer is performed.
What we learn from this hadith
- The report names rings of gold first.
- It also mentions safflower-dyed garments and Al-Qassi.
- Ali reports being forbidden from Qur’an recitation while bowing.
- The narration gives boundaries without giving detailed reasons.
