Prohibition of Soaking (Making Nabidh) in Earthenware Jars

Sunan an-NasaiHadith Number 5617

أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أُمَيَّةُ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ جَبَلَةَ بْنِ سُحَيْمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنِ الْحَنْتَمِ قُلْتُ مَا الْحَنْتَمُ قَالَ الْجَرُّ ‏.‏

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: "The Messenger of Allah [SAW] forbade Al-Hantam. I (the narrator) said: "What is Al-Hantam?" He said: "The earthenware jar."
