Women in Eid Prayer

Prophetic Hadiths Regarding Women Participating in Eid Prayers
According to the authentic narrations from companions like Um 'Atiyya and Ibn 'Abbas, the Prophet Muhammad explicitly commanded and encouraged all categories of women to participate in the blessed occasions of Eid ul-Fitr and Eid ul-Adha. This included mature girls, virgins in seclusion, and even menstruating women, who were instructed to join the gatherings, stand behind the congregational lines, and share in the community's supplications and praises. While menstruating women remained separate from the specific prayer area itself, their presence allowed them to seek the unique blessings and purification associated with that sacred day. Furthermore, the Prophet would directly address the female congregation after delivering the sermon, offering them tailor-made spiritual reminders and urging them to contribute to charity, leading many women to generously donate their jewelry right on the spot.
Ibn 'Abbas Narrated from:
I (in my boyhood) went out with the Prophet (ﷺ) on the day of `Id ul Fitr or Id-ul-Adha. The Prophet (ﷺ) prayed and then delivered the Khutba and then went towards the women, preached and advised them and ordered them to give alms.
