Deep Blessings and Virtues of Qurbani in Authentic Hadith
Offering a ritual sacrifice (Udhiyah) on the Day of Nahr holds immense spiritual value in Islam. According to authentic traditions, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) emphasized that no human action on this day is more beloved to Allah than spilling the blood of a sacrificial animal. The blood is honored and accepted by Allah before it even touches the ground, and on the Day of Judgment, the animal will appear with its horns, hair, and hooves to testify for the believer. While Islamic scholars note it is an established practice, its regular performance is highly significant; the Prophet (ﷺ) stayed in Al-Madinah for ten years consistently offering sacrifices, establishing it firmly as a continuous practice. Furthermore, the Prophet (ﷺ) issued a stern warning for those who have the financial capacity yet choose to neglect this duty, stating they should not even come near the community prayer place. Performing this act with a joyful heart brings vast rewards for every believer.
