What Defines a True Muslim According to Authentic Hadith?

Discovering what makes someone a good Muslim is central to practicing Islam correctly. According to these authentic prophetic narrations, companions frequently asked the Messenger of Allah about whose Islam is the best or who among the believers is considered superior. The Holy Prophet gave a very simple, practical, and clear answer that centers on peace and human character. He stated that the best Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hands other Muslims are completely safe. This means a true believer avoids causing any physical or verbal harm to others, emphasizing that excellent faith is demonstrated through peaceful conduct, safety, and mutual respect within the community.
