Authentic Prophetic Hadiths on Destiny and Divine Decree

According to Islamic scholars, understanding destiny (Qadar) is a core pillar of faith, and these authentic prophetic traditions beautifully clarify how divine decree coexists with human actions. The traditions explain that while a person is developing within their mother's womb, Allah sends an angel to record their lifetime, provision, gender, and final outcome in the afterlife. Prophet Muhammad taught that every individual's final destination is already known to Allah, and everyone finds it easy to perform the actions that lead to their written path. Rather than passively relying on fate, the Prophet explicitly commanded his followers to actively do good deeds, reassuring them that their efforts matter. Ultimately, these teachings remind us that true peace comes from accepting Allah's ultimate decree while putting forth our best individual efforts.
