Summary of Jami at-Tirmidhi Hadith 1056
This hadith about women visiting graves reports that Abu Hurairah narrated: the Messenger of Allah cursed the women who visit graves. The text also includes comments from Abu Eisa. He mentions that some people of knowledge understood this as being before the Prophet gave permission to visit graves, and that when permission came, men and women entered that allowance. Others said the dislike of women visiting graves was due to their lack of patience and much grief. Because the narration includes these scholarly comments, the explanation should present them carefully. The main wording is a strong warning, and the added comments show that scholars discussed how it relates to the later permission to visit graves.
