Summary of Jami at-Tirmidhi Hadith 1401
This Hadith about hudud in the masjid gives two clear legal points from the words of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم. First, the hudud are not to be carried out inside mosques. The masjid is a place of prayer, worship, and remembrance of Allah, so the text separates this kind of legal punishment from that sacred space. Second, the Hadith states that a father is not killed for the son. The narration does not give extra details here, so the safest explanation is to stay with the wording itself. It teaches respect for the masjid and shows that Islamic legal rulings are not handled by emotion or public anger. They follow set limits and proper places.
What we learn from this hadith
- Mosques should be protected from acts that do not suit their sacred purpose.
- Legal punishments are not to be carried out in the masjid.
- The Hadith mentions a specific family-related ruling about the father and son.
- Islamic legal matters are treated with limits, order, and care.
