Abu Hurairah Narrated from:
The Messenger Of Allah (ﷺ) Judged That A Ghurrah Male Slave Or Female Slave Be Given In The Case Of A Fetus. The One Of The Judgement Was Made Against Said: 'Should We Give Something For One Who Did Not Drink, Not Eat, Nor Cry Out To Shed A Tear, The Likes Of Which Is Useless?' So The Prophet (ﷺ) Said: 'This Is The Speech Of A Poet. Rather It Requires A Ghurrah: A Male Slave Or A Female Slave.'

Summary of Jami at-Tirmidhi Hadith 1410
This Hadith about ghurrah for a fetus states that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم judged that a male slave or female slave be given in the case of a fetus. The person against whom the judgement was made objected, saying the fetus had not eaten, drunk, or cried. The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم rejected that kind of speech and said it was the speech of a poet. He then repeated the judgement: it requires a ghurrah, a male slave or female slave. The Hadith does not give every detail of the case, but it clearly shows that the loss of the fetus was not treated as something worthless.
What we learn from this hadith
- The Hadith states a judgement of ghurrah for a fetus.
- The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم rejected speech that dismissed the fetus as useless.
- The ruling is repeated clearly in the narration.
- The case was handled through judgement, not personal argument.
