Abu Umamah Narrated from:
The Messenger Of Allah (ﷺ) Said: "The Most Virtuous Of Charitable Spending Is The Shade Of A Tent In The Cause Of Allah, Or Giving A Servant In The Cause Of Allah, Or A Riding Camel In The Cause Of Allah." [Abu 'Eisa Said:] This Hadith Is Hasan Gharib Sahih, And It Is More Correct To Me Than The Narration Of Mu'Awiyah Bin Salih.

Summary of Jami at-Tirmidhi Hadith 1627
This Hadith explains examples of the most virtuous charitable spending in Allah's cause. Abu Umamah narrated that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم mentioned the shade of a tent, giving a servant, or a riding camel in Allah's cause. The main lesson is that useful support can be a form of charity. A tent gives shelter, a servant provides help, and a riding camel provides transport. The Hadith does not turn charity into one narrow form. It shows that spending and support can meet real needs. The wording stays focused on Allah's cause and on charity that helps in a clear and practical way.
What we learn from this hadith
- Charity can take the form of shelter, help, or transport.
- The Hadith praises useful support in Allah's cause.
- Giving something that serves a real need is treated as valuable charity.
- The narration shows that charity is broader than cash alone.
