Summary of Jami at-Tirmidhi Hadith 193
This Hadith is about the form of the Adhan and Iqamah. Anas bin Malik narrated that Bilal was ordered to make the phrases of the Adhan even and the phrases of the Iqamah odd. This is a common search topic because people ask why Adhan is repeated and why Iqamah is shorter. The narration does not give a long reason; it simply states the order given to Bilal. The added text says the Hadith is hasan sahih and that this was the view of some people of knowledge. The lesson is to respect the taught form of worship. In prayer matters, even short phrases and repeated words are not treated as casual speech.
