حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هِشَامٍ الرِّفَاعِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لاَ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ مَنْ كَانَ فِي قَلْبِهِ مِثْقَالُ حَبَّةٍ مِنْ خَرْدَلٍ مِنْ كِبْرٍ وَلاَ يَدْخُلُ النَّارَ مَنْ كَانَ فِي قَلْبِهِ مِثْقَالُ حَبَّةٍ مِنْ إِيمَانٍ " . وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَسَلَمَةَ بْنِ الأَكْوَعِ وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
`Abdullah Narrated from:
The Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever Has A Mustard Seed'S Weight Of Pride (Arrogance) In His Heart, Shall Not Be Admitted Into Paradise. And Whoever Has A Mustard Seed'S Weight Of Faith In His Heart, Shall Not Be Admitted Into The Fire."

Summary of Jami at-Tirmidhi Hadith 1998
This Hadith gives a serious warning about pride and a hopeful statement about faith. The Prophet said that whoever has a mustard seed’s weight of pride in his heart shall not be admitted into Paradise. He also said that whoever has a mustard seed’s weight of faith in his heart shall not be admitted into the Fire. The Hadith about pride in the heart shows that arrogance is not a small matter, even when it seems hidden. It also points to the great value of faith, even when described in a very small amount. The lesson is to remove pride from the heart and protect faith sincerely.
