حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ حُبَابٍ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُسْرٍ، أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا، قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَنْ خَيْرُ النَّاسِ قَالَ " مَنْ طَالَ عُمُرُهُ وَحَسُنَ عَمَلُهُ " . وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَجَابِرٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ .
Abdullah bin Busr Narrated from:
A Bedouin said: "O Messenger Of Allah! Who Is The Best Of The People?" He Said: "He Whose Life Is Long And His Deeds Are Good." There Are Narrations On This Topic From Abu Hurairah And Jabir.

Summary of Jami at-Tirmidhi Hadith 2329
This hadith about good deeds answers a simple question: who is the best of people? A Bedouin asked the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w), and he replied that it is the one whose life is long and whose deeds are good. The hadith does not praise long life by itself. It connects long life with good action. More time becomes a blessing when it is used well. The teaching is easy to apply. A person should not only wish for more years, but should ask what those years are filled with. Prayer, honesty, kindness, learning, repentance, and other good deeds give life its better value according to the meaning of this hadith.
