Abu Hurairah Narrated from:
The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: "Look To One Who Is Lower Than You, And Do Not Look To One Who Is Above You. For Indeed That Is More Worthy(So That You Will) Not Belittle Allah'S Favors Upon You."

Summary of Jami at-Tirmidhi Hadith 2513
This hadith about gratitude for Allah's blessings gives a simple cure for looking down on what we have. The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said to look at one who is lower than you and not to look at one who is above you. The reason given is that this is more fitting so you do not belittle Allah's favors upon you. The text is about worldly matters and how the heart reacts to comparison. When a person only looks at those who have more, blessings can start to feel small. Looking at those with less helps the believer see mercy already present in his life and say alhamdulillah with a calmer heart.
What we learn from this hadith
- Worldly comparison should not make a believer belittle Allah’s favors.
- Looking at those with less can help a person notice blessings.
- Gratitude grows when the heart stops chasing every higher worldly level.
- A believer should train the eye to see what Allah has already given.
