حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْكُوفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ، عَنْ شَبِيبِ بْنِ بِشْرٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم رَجُلٌ يَسْتَحْمِلُهُ فَلَمْ يَجِدْ عِنْدَهُ مَا يَتَحَمَّلُهُ فَدَلَّهُ عَلَى آخَرَ فَحَمَلَهُ . فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَأَخْبَرَهُ فَقَالَ " إِنَّ الدَّالَّ عَلَى الْخَيْرِ كَفَاعِلِهِ " . وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ الْبَدْرِيِّ وَبُرَيْدَةَ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَنَسٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم .
Anas bin Malik Narrated from:
A Man Came To The Prophet (ﷺ) To Get A Mount, But He (ﷺ) Did Not Have Anything To Mount Him On With Him. So He Was Lead To Another Person To Give Him A Mount. He Came To The Prophet (ﷺ) To Inform Him About That And He Said: 'Whoever Leads To Good, He Is Like The One Who Does It.'

Summary of Jami at-Tirmidhi Hadith 2670
This Hadith tells of a man who came to the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم asking for a mount. The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم did not have anything to give him, so the man was directed to someone else. That person gave him a mount. When the man came back and told the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, he said, Whoever leads to good, he is like the one who does it. The message is warm and practical. If you cannot directly do the good deed, you may still help by guiding someone to the person or means that can help. A hadith about leading to good shows that pointing people toward benefit is not small. Good advice, a helpful referral, and useful direction can carry real value.
