'Ammar bin Yasir Narrated from:
The Messenger Of Allah (ﷺ) Said: 'The Ma'Idah Was Sent Down From The Heavens With Bread And Meat. And They Were Commanded To Not Be Deceitful With It And Hide It For Tomorrow. So They Were Deceitful With It And They Hid It, So It Was Raised Up In The Morning. Then They Were Transformed Into Monkeys And Pigs.'

Summary of Jami at-Tirmidhi Hadith 3061
This hadith about the Ma'idah focuses on honesty, trust, and obeying a clear command. The narration says that the Ma'idah was sent down from the heavens with bread and meat. The people were told not to be deceitful with it and not to hide it for tomorrow. Yet they did exactly that. They acted deceitfully, stored it, and in the morning it was raised up. The hadith then mentions their punishment, that they were transformed into monkeys and pigs. The report also includes Abu Isa's note that the narration is gharib, and that the non-marfu version is more correct. The main lesson is simple: when Allah gives a command, playing tricks with it is not a small matter.
What we learn from this hadith
- A blessing should not be handled with deceit.
- Hiding what one was clearly told not to keep is a breach of trust.
- Commands linked to divine gifts must be treated with care.
- The narration itself notes discussion about its chain and wording.
