Musa and 'Eisa Narrated from:
Narrated Musa and 'Eisa, the sons of Talhah: From Their Father: "The Companions Of The Prophet (ﷺ) Said, To An Unknowing Bedouin Man: 'Ask Him Who It Is That Has Fulfilled His Vow.' They Were Not In The Habit Of Asking Questions Out Of Their Respect And Reverence For Him. So The Bedouin Asked Him, But He Turned Away From Him. Then He Asked Him Again, But He Turned Away From Him. Then Again He Asked Him, But He Turned Away From Him.Then I Stood Looking From The Door Of The Masjid, While I Was Wearing A Green Garment, And I Saw The Prophet (ﷺ), He Said: 'Where Is The One Who Was Asking About The One Who Fulfilled His Vow?' The Bedouin Said: 'Here I Am O Messenger Of Allah!' The Messenger Of Allah (ﷺ) Said: 'This Is One Who Has Fulfilled His Vow.'"

Summary of Jami at-Tirmidhi Hadith 3203
This hadith about Talhah and the fulfilled vow shows both respect for the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم and honor for Talhah. The Companions wanted to ask who had fulfilled his vow, but they were shy to question the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم directly because of their respect and awe for him. So they asked a Bedouin man to ask. The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم turned away more than once. Later, when Talhah appeared at the door of the Masjid wearing a green garment, the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم asked where the questioner was. Then he pointed to Talhah and said that this was one of those who fulfilled his vow. The hadith teaches respect, patience in asking, and the special praise given to Talhah.
What we learn from this hadith
- The Companions showed deep respect when asking the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم questions.
- Talhah was clearly identified by the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم as one who fulfilled his vow.
- A person’s honor is based on truthfulness and loyalty, not outward display alone.
- Sometimes an answer comes at the right moment, not immediately.
