Summary of Jami at-Tirmidhi Hadith 3352
This hadith about Ibrahim as the best of creatures is very short, but it carries a clear lesson in prophetic manners. A man addressed the Prophet by saying, O best of creatures. The Prophet answered, That is Ibrahim. The report does not include a long speech, a debate, or a ranking discussion. It simply shows the Prophet directing that title to Prophet Ibrahim. The main point is respect for Ibrahim and the humble speech of the Messenger of Allah. A simple explanation should not go beyond the text. The hadith teaches honor for the prophets and carefulness in praise.
