Summary of Jami at-Tirmidhi Hadith 820
This Hadith about the Ifrad form of Hajj reports from Aishah that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم performed Hajj as Ifrad. The Arabic text also mentions that reports came from Jabir and Ibn Umar on the topic, and Abu Isa graded Aishah’s report as hasan sahih. It further records statements from scholars about the forms of Hajj, including that if one performs Ifrad it is good, if one combines Qiran it is good, and if one performs Tamattu it is good. The main Hadith itself is simple: it identifies the form of Hajj reported from Aishah. A careful explanation should not claim more than the text says, but it can note that the entry discusses accepted forms of Hajj.
What we learn from this hadith
- Aishah reported that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم performed Ifrad Hajj.
- The entry mentions scholarly discussion about different forms of Hajj.
- The report should be understood as a specific narration about the Prophet’s صلى الله عليه وسلم Hajj form.
