حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ، - يَعْنِي الإِسْكَنْدَرَانِيَّ الْقَارِيَّ - عَنْ عَمْرٍو، عَنِ الْمُطَّلِبِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " صَيْدُ الْبَرِّ لَكُمْ حَلاَلٌ مَا لَمْ تَصِيدُوهُ أَوْ يُصَدْ لَكُمْ " . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ إِذَا تَنَازَعَ الْخَبَرَانِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُنْظَرُ بِمَا أَخَذَ بِهِ أَصْحَابُهُ .
Jabir bin `Abdullah Narrated from:
I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: The game of the land is lawful for you (when you are wearing ihram) as long as you do not hunt it or have it hunted on your behalf. Abu Dawud said: When two traditions from the Prophet (ﷺ) conflict, one should see which of them was followed by his Companions.

This hadith gives an important condition about land game for someone in ihram. The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said that land game is lawful for you as long as you do not hunt it or have it hunted on your behalf. The core topic is land game in ihram.
