Summary of Sunan Abi Dawud Hadith 369
This hadith from Maimunah reports that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم prayed on or with a sheet of cloth that was also on one of his wives while she was menstruating. The report says he was praying while part of it was upon him. The core topic is menstruation and prayer space or clothing. The hadith about shared cloth during prayer shows a specific scene, and the explanation should stay with that scene. It does not say that menstrual blood was on the cloth. It only mentions that the wife was menstruating and that a part of the cloth was on both of them. This keeps the meaning clear and avoids adding claims not found in the text.
What we learn from this hadith
- The report mentions a shared cloth while one wife was menstruating.
- The Prophet is described as praying while part of the cloth was upon him.
- The text does not state that menstrual blood was on the cloth.
- A careful reading keeps the ruling-like point tied to the exact scene described.
