Hadith About Muslim Support Like a Building
Sahih Bukhari : 6027
Sahih BukhariHadith Number 6027
Abu Musa Narrated from:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "A believer to another believer is like a building whose different parts enforce each other." The Prophet (ﷺ) then clasped his hands with the fingers interlaced. (At that time) the Prophet (ﷺ) was sitting and a man came and begged or asked for something. The Prophet (ﷺ) faced us and said, "Help and recommend him and you will receive the reward for it, and Allah will bring about what He will through His Prophet's tongue."

Summary of Sahih Bukhari Hadith 6027
This Hadith about Muslim support like a building repeats the teaching that believers should hold each other up. The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم compared one believer with another to a building whose parts strengthen each other, and he clasped his fingers together. The report also mentions a man who came asking or seeking a need. The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم faced the people and told them to help and recommend him so they would be rewarded, while Allah would decide what He willed through His Prophet's tongue. The meaning is practical. Brotherhood is not only a feeling; it includes standing with someone, speaking for him, and helping when a need appears.
What we learn from this hadith
- Believers are compared to parts of a building that strengthen each other.
- A person in need should not be ignored.
- Helping and recommending can be rewarded.
- The final outcome belongs to Allah's will.
