AbuHurayrah Narrated from:

Allah's Messenger ﷺ said, "Surely, a slave (of Allah) may speak a word that pleases Allah without his realizing its significance (thinking) it to be easy and ordinary, but Allah raises him several degrees because of it. And, surely, a slave (of Allah) may speak a word that displeases Allah without his realising its significance (thinking there is no harm in uttering a petty word), but he continues to sink down in hell because of it." [1] According to another version: "He will go down into hell farther than the distance between the east and the west." [2]
