وَعَن جُنْدُبٍ قَالَ: جَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ فَأَنَاخَ رَاحِلَتَهُ ثُمَّ عَقَلَهَا ثُمَّ دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ فَصَلَّى خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ أَتَى رَاحِلَتَهُ فَأَطْلَقَهَا ثُمَّ رَكِبَ ثُمَّ نَادَى: اللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمْنِي وَمُحَمَّدًا وَلَا تُشْرِكْ فِي رَحْمَتِنَا أَحَدًا. فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «أَتَقُولُونَ هُوَ أَضَلُّ أَمْ بَعِيرُهُ؟ أَلَمْ تَسْمَعُوا إِلَى مَا قَالَ؟» قَالُوا: بَلَى؟ . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد وَذَكَرَ حَدِيثَ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ: «كَفَى بِالْمَرْءِ كَذِبًا» فِي «بَاب الِاعْتِصَام» فِي الْفَصْل الأول
Jundub Narrated from:
A villager came and made his camel kneel and tethered it. Then he entered the mosque and offered salah (prayer) behind Allah's Messenger. صلى الله عليه وسلم When he finished with the salaam (turning with salutation to either side), he returned to his riding beast, untethered it and mounted it. Then he called out (in a loud voice), "O Allah shower mercy on me and Muhammad but do not associate anyone else in the mercy on us!" Allah's Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم asked, "What do you say - he is more off the path, or his camel? Did you not hear what he said?" They (the sahabah) رضي الله عنه said, "Yes, we did!" [1]
