Mishkat al-MasabihHadith Number 5110
وَعَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: " يَقُولُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى: الْكِبْرِيَاءُ رِدَائِي وَالْعَظَمَةُ إِزَارِي فَمَنْ نَازَعَنِي وَاحِدًا مِنْهُمَا أَدْخَلْتُهُ النَّارَ ". وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ: «قَذَفْتُهُ فِي النَّارِ» . رَوَاهُ مُسلم
AbuHurayrah Narrated from:
Allah's Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said that Allah, the Glorious says, "Pride is MY cloak and majesty is My lower garment. So, he who competes with Me regarding any of these two, I shall consign him to the Fire." [1] According to one version: "I shall throw him into the Fire." [2]
