Abu Bakr As-Siddiq Narrated from:

O People!Recite the verse: يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا عَلَيْكُمْ أَنْفُسُكُمْ لَا يَضُرُّكُمْ مَنْ ضَلَّ إِذَا اهْتَدَيْتُمْ {O you who believe, guard your own souls. He who has gone astray cannot harm you, if you are rightly guided.} (5: 105)And, I had heard Allah's Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم say, 'Indeed, when people see wrong being committed, but do not change it, surely, Allah will soon punish them too.' (But, you take the verse in a general sense and do not believe that it is wajib (obligatory) to enjoin piety and forbid evil.)" [2] According to another version: "When they see an oppressor but do not check him by his hand, soon Allah will punish all of them too." Another version is: "No people among whom sin is committed while they have power to stop it yet they do not change it, but Allah will soon punish them." According to another version: 'No people among whom sin is committed and they are more numerous than the perpetrators...' [3] (the rest is as the previous version).
