Mishkat al-MasabihHadith Number 5141
وَعَن الْعرس بن عَمِيرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ: «إِذَا عُمِلَتِ الْخَطِيئَةُ فِي الْأَرْضِ مَنْ شَهِدَهَا فَكَرِهَهَا كَانَ كَمَنْ غَابَ عَنْهَا وَمَنْ غَابَ عَنْهَا فَرَضِيَهَا كَانَ كَمَنْ شَهِدَهَا» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد
Al-'Urs bin Amirah Narrated from:
The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "When sin is committed in the earth and he who sees it is repulsed with it, he will be like one who was not present (at the site and knows nothing about it). But, he who is not present when it is committed and (no knowing of its commission) does not feel repulsed (but approved of it), will be like one who sees it (and approves of it)." [1]
