Summary of Sahih Muslim Hadith 1584f
This narration is another supporting chain for Abu Sa'id al-Khudri's Hadith on riba exchange. It reports that Allah's Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said gold for gold like for like, and then the narrator mentioned the rest in a similar way. The entry does not give a new topic separate from the earlier report. Its purpose is to preserve the same meaning through another chain of transmitters. For someone searching Sahih Muslim 1584f, the main topic is still the gold for gold Hadith, like-for-like exchange, and the warning against added increase in same-type exchange. It also teaches that important financial reports were transmitted and recorded through multiple routes.
What we learn from this hadith
- This narration supports Abu Sa'id's report through another chain.
- It confirms the gold-for-gold like-for-like wording.
- It points back to the same meaning mentioned in the earlier narration.
- The report shows careful preservation of Hadith transmission.
