Summary of Sahih Muslim Hadith 2709b
This Hadith is a short transmission note about Abu Huraira’s report. It says that the Hadith was transmitted from Abu Huraira with a slight variation in wording. The Arabic text mentions a man saying to the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم that a scorpion had stung him, and the report is like the earlier narration. Since this version does not give a new long wording, the explanation should stay careful. It is connected to the well-known dua: "I seek refuge in the Perfect Words of Allah from the evil of what He created." The main value of this narration is that it preserves the same scorpion sting report through another route while noting a slight wording difference.
What we learn from this hadith
- This narration preserves Abu Huraira’s scorpion sting report.
- The Hadith is connected to seeking refuge in Allah’s Perfect Words.
- A slight wording variation is clearly noted.
- Careful transmission helps readers understand which wording belongs to which route.
