Summary of Sunan an-Nasai Hadith 2247
This narration from Abu Saeed focuses on the reward of fasting one day in the cause of Allah. It is a strong answer for people searching for hadith about fasting one day for Allah or fasting in the cause of Allah. The wording is direct: whoever fasts a day in Allah's cause, Allah will separate his face from Jahannam by that distance. The distance is described as seventy years, which shows the great worth attached to this act in the Hadith. The text does not give extra conditions beyond the phrase "in the cause of Allah," so the explanation should stay with that wording. It teaches that fasting can be an act of devotion connected to safety from the Fire, by Allah's grace.
