Summary of Sunan an-Nasai Hadith 2739
This Hadith is another report from Imran bin Husain about Tamattu. He says that the Messenger of Allah performed Umrah and Hajj together, and that they also performed Umrah and Hajj together with him. The narration then says that whoever says something different is speaking from his own personal opinion. This makes the Hadith strong in wording for the topic of Tamattu with the Prophet and Hajj and Umrah together. The text does not describe the full steps of the rites. It focuses on the reported action of the Prophet and the companions with him. The main lesson is to give weight to what is reported from the Prophet rather than later personal views.
What we learn from this hadith
- Imran reports that the Prophet performed Umrah and Hajj together.
- Imran says they performed it with the Prophet.
- The narration contrasts this report with personal opinion.
- The Hadith is directly tied to Tamattu and combining Hajj with Umrah.
