Summary of Sunan an-Nasai Hadith 5686
Ibn Abbas says here that Khamr was forbidden in small or large amounts, as was every kind of drink that intoxicates. The wording is easy to apply because it does not ask the listener to chase every possible drink name. It gives a rule: if it intoxicates, it is included. It also mentions Khamr separately, with both little and much named. This hadith about whatever intoxicates is useful for people who wonder about drinks made from different sources. The narration does not go into extra details about preparation. It keeps the teaching direct: avoid Khamr and avoid any drink that brings intoxication.
What we learn from this hadith
- Khamr is described as forbidden in both little and much.
- Any drink that intoxicates is included in the warning.
- The text gives a simple rule instead of relying on many drink names.
