This hadith from Ibn Umar explains what to do when the sun begins to rise or begins to set. The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said that when the edge of the sun rises, delay prayer until it has fully risen. When the edge of the sun starts to set, delay prayer until it has fully set.
