Summary of Jami at-Tirmidhi Hadith 37
This hadith about ears in wudu is narrated by Abu Umamah. He said the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم performed wudu, washed his face three times, washed his hands three times, wiped his head, and said that the ears are part of the head. The report gives both action and wording. It connects the ears with the head in the context of wudu. The text also notes that one narrator was unsure whether the statement was from the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم or from Abu Umamah, and it records scholarly discussion about the ears. Staying close to the hadith, the main teaching is that the ears are treated together with the head when discussing wiping in wudu.
