(Allah’s) Wish and Will

Abu Musa Narrated from:
Whenever a beggar or a person in need of something came to the Prophet (ﷺ), he used to say (to his companions), "Intercede (for him) and you will be rewarded for that, and Allah will fulfill what He will through His Apostle's tongue."

Summary of Sahih Bukhari Hadith 7476
This hadith about helping the needy shows how the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) encouraged his companions to support people who came with needs. When a beggar or a person needing something came to him, he would say, “Intercede and you will be rewarded.” This means they could speak on behalf of the person and take part in helping. At the same time, the outcome was not placed in their hands. The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said Allah would fulfill what He willed through the tongue of His Messenger. The lesson is balanced: try to help, speak good, and know that the final result belongs to Allah.
What we learn from this hadith
- Speaking in support of a person in need can bring reward.
- Helping does not mean controlling the final result.
- The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) encouraged companions to take part in good.
- Allah fulfills what He wills through the means He chooses.
