Sayyiduna Usayd ibn Khudayr رضي الله عنه was a man of the Ansars who used to jest often with others. He was talking to them and making them laugh. The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم poked him under the ribs with a stick. He exclaimed, "I want to take retaliation (for it)." He said, "Take it!" But, he said, "You have a shirt on while I do not." The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم raised his shirt, and he began to embrace him and kiss his side, saying afterwards, "This is what I wished to have, O Messenger of Allah." [2] (The urdu text explains that there could be a man other than Usayd رضي الله عنه who was a narrator see (commentary)).
