Summary of Sunan an-Nasai Hadith 3891
This narration reports from Sa'eed that the Messenger of Allah forbade Al-Muhaqalah. Sa'eed then mentioned something similar, and the text notes that Sufyan Ath-Thawri also reported it from Tariq. For a reader looking for Al-Muhaqalah meaning or a hadith about agricultural trade, the direct content here is the prohibition itself. This report does not define the practice or describe its payment terms. It also does not provide a full second wording, only saying that something similar was narrated. A careful explanation must therefore avoid filling in missing details. The practical lesson is to recognize that Al-Muhaqalah was treated as a prohibited farming transaction and that reports of this teaching were transmitted through more than one route mentioned in the text.
What we learn from this hadith
- The Messenger of Allah is reported to have forbidden Al-Muhaqalah.
- The narration mentions a similar report without giving its full wording.
- Sufyan Ath-Thawri also transmitted the report from Tariq.
- No extra definition should be attached to this brief text without separate evidence.
