أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَلَّى بْنُ أَسَدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ، قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّهُمْ يَقُولُونَ إِنَّ الْجَنَّةَ لاَ يَدْخُلُهَا إِلاَّ مُهَاجِرٌ . قَالَ " لاَ هِجْرَةَ بَعْدَ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ وَلَكِنْ جِهَادٌ وَنِيَّةٌ فَإِذَا اسْتُنْفِرْتُمْ فَانْفِرُوا " .
Safwan bin Umayyah Narrated from:
I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, they are saying that no one will enter Paradise except a Muhajir.' He said: "There is no more emigration (Hijrah) after the Conquest of Makkah, rather there is Jihad and intention. When you are called to mobilize (for Jihad) then do so."

Safwan bin Umayyah reported a claim that only a Muhajir would enter Paradise. The Prophet answered by stating that there was no more Hijrah after the Conquest of Makkah. He then named Jihad and intention, and told the people to mobilize when called. This Hadith about Jihad and intention corrects the idea that entry into Paradise was limited to someone carrying the title of Muhajir. The report shifts attention from that claim to duties that remained: sincere intention, Jihad, and responding to a call to mobilize. The text should be read as it stands. It does not say that intention alone replaces action, because it also gives a direct command to go when called.
