Jami at-TirmidhiHadith Number 1313
Jabir Narrated from:
The Prophet (ﷺ) Prohibited Al-Muhaqalah, Al-Muzabanah, Al-Mukhabarah, And Al-Mu'Awamah, And He Permitted It In The Case Of Al-'Araya. [Abu 'Eisa Said:] This Hadith Is Hasan Sahih.

Summary of Jami at-Tirmidhi Hadith 1313
This produce sales hadith gives a short list of prohibited transactions and one permission. Jabir narrated that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) prohibited Al-Muhaqalah, Al-Muzabanah, Al-Mukhabarah, and Al-Mu'awamah. The same hadith says he permitted Al-'Araya. The narration does not expand every term here, so the explanation should stay close to what is stated. It shows that Islamic trade rules separate unsafe or forbidden sale forms from a specific allowed exception. The repeated mention of Al-'Araya in nearby narrations also helps show that it was not a general permission for all fruit exchanges, but a named allowance within defined limits.
What we learn from this hadith
- The hadith lists several prohibited produce-related sales.
- Al-'Araya is mentioned as a permitted exception.
- Not every common trade practice is accepted in Islamic guidance.
- Clear rules help separate valid sales from invalid sale forms.
