Summary of Jami at-Tirmidhi Hadith 64
This hadith is closely tied to the issue of wudu with a woman's leftover purification water. Al-Hakim bin Amr Al-Ghifari narrated that the Prophet forbade a man from performing wudu with the leftover water from a woman's purification. The narration also has wording uncertainty: "or he said, from her drinking." Because the text itself mentions this wording, it is important to explain it carefully and not make claims beyond the narration. Abu Isa called the hadith hasan and also noted the name of Abu Hajib. The main point is about caution in purification water. The hadith is often searched with terms like wudu leftover water woman and فضل طهور المرأة.
What we learn from this hadith
- The hadith reports a prohibition about a man using leftover purification water from a woman.
- The narration includes a wording variation, so the point should be stated carefully.
