Summary of Sunan an-Nasai Hadith 4111
This hadith gives a brief but powerful rule for relations between Muslims. The Prophet says that defaming a Muslim is evildoing and fighting him is kufr. The first part protects a person's name, dignity, and emotional safety from abusive speech. The second part protects physical safety and gives fighting a far more serious warning. Together, the two parts show how conflict can move from words to violence and why both stages must be stopped. A Muslim should not excuse insults as ordinary behavior or treat fighting as a simple disagreement. The hadith about fighting a Muslim calls for self-control, respectful speech, and protection from physical harm.
What we learn from this hadith
- Defaming a Muslim is sinful behavior.
- Fighting a Muslim is condemned in especially severe terms.
- Muslim dignity should be protected from abusive speech.
- Disagreement should not be allowed to become violence.
